Lately, I've been getting a lot more comments about how people are very interested in cake decorating but that they don't think they will ever be as good as some of the stuff the see on DA.  I used to think that, I am still amazed at how far I've come.  So, I am here to tell you, yes you can ^_^  I promise!  All it takes is practice.  So don't give up!  Study other people's work, read books, and ask a lot of questions.  And just play with the different mediums.  If you're going for a figure of someone and it just ends up looking like a blob of colors, try again ^_^

And to prove that you CAN do it, I am going to submit some of my very first cakes.  Trust me, they aren't very good at all, but its always nice to look back

Well, first of all...I'm almost at 4,000 page views, which when I first started out I never thought that it would be a reality!  So thank you everyone for your support.  You guys have no idea what your words mean to me!

Second of all, it's two weeks until my wedding!  It's flown by so fast, but I'm super excited and listening to the beginnings of the wedding playlist that Brandon has been putting together ^_^  Which, honestly, is probably for the best because he's better at the whole music thing than me.  I am, however, super excited to begin preparation for the cakes!

And holy crap, I just looked down at my first journal and I can't believe that I have been a member of this community for over a year!  Since then I have seen so many wonderful artists grow!

Merry Christmas everyone!  Hope all is well, everyone is happy, and you guys get lots of good food   

First of all, I've finally hit 3,000 pageviews!  Unfortunately  it was quite a while ago and I didn't notice until now -_-  So, thank you to everyone who has looked, favorited, or commented on my work, I do appreciate all of the positive feedback!


And, as some of you have noticed, my mood to this journal is a bit shameful   I'm really sorry to all of you whom I don't thank right away.  It makes me sad for you guys to have to wait to know how thankful I am toward you!  But with my mountain of work, school, and the wedding...I am just exhausted when I get home.  And when I pull up my messages and it says that I have 25 I think, I'll do it tomorrow when I have time, then tomorrow rolls around and there's 40, then again theres 50, and finally it reaches 75 and I have to sit down and answer them before my inbox explodes!  But I don't want you guys to think that I've forgotten about you and I will try to answer as promptly as I can in the future.

You guys are great and your support is awesome!  I've been doing a lot of cupcakes lately (if you couldn't already tell) but I finally got to do one that expressed my personality ^_^  Which was super fun, because as much as I love princesses (cough) gaming is really one of my happy places.  So, if by chance you havent already looked at my console wars cupcake, please do and give me your feedback!  

Im super excited for the next couple months, holidays back to back!  Im expecting lots of pumpkins, spiders, and snowmen ^_^  I love holidays   Plus in January I will lhave two brand new very dear to my heart wedding cake (from my own wedding!)

Very sorry that I haven't been around lately guys, just hold out with me!  Please don't be sad if I haven't gotten to commenting back or recognizing your loves yet, I promise that it will happen with lots of extra love attached!  Work has been hectic and so has school, and in the middle of all that I haven't been able to upload anything new or even attempt to look at my messages.  *But* theres lots of new stuff coming and new people features soon so you guys can drool over some amazing work (always fun in my opinion)  


But mass loves and thanks and hugs and hearts for all of you who are still sticking out with me and continuously showing support, hope everyone is well and blessed!

Now that I am finally graduated and back home, things have settled down a lot more.  I got a job working in a cake shop doing wedding cakes and pastries so my picture volume should go up quite a bit; I hope you like the new work.

I never thought that I would reach the point where I was over 1,000 page views!  I feel very honored and loved that you guys have taken the time to look through my work and comment on it.  So thank you.  Hopefully I can continue to grow as an artist and produce works like I have been doing.  


In other news, I was going through my gallery and realized that most of my traditional work was still photographed using my old camera so I will be re-photographing them.  I have already started, but I am not able to get to a bulk percentage of my work (its in another state ^_^; ) so please bare with me for another couple of weeks.


I would also like to apologize to those of you who are watching me because of my culinary gallery.  Right now I am out of labs and do not have the opportunity to be that creative (its killing me) but I will be able to start again in another couple of weeks when I move back to a house with a stove.

It is official, I have a new camera and it is beautiful!  I would take a picture of it if that was physically possible, but it's not   It is a major upgrade through!  And by major I mean that I went from 3.2 megapixels to 8.2 megapixels!  

In other news, I have my externship right now, so I don't have a lot of free time.  I will probably be posting some old pictures from last year for a little while, but today I feel particularly inspired.  It might just be the weather, but I am itching to get outside and take pictures so hopefully I will be able to mix in some new stuff!  I know that none of it is food related (which makes me sad too) but I hope you like it ^_^  

I just wanted to thank everyone for all of their love and support over my new work, Especially Heros breathe all the air for the =girltripped contest!  I know that one day I can home and logged on to see that I had about 35 messages and I almost cried!  

Also, I want to apologize for some of my crappy picture taking lately, I know that a lot of my traditional pictured have been photographed and are slightly sideways, but that's only because they are too big to scan ^_^;  Also...I'm really sorry for the blurryness >_<  I'm working to get a new camera, but it will probably be a little while, so I am trying to do the best I can with what I have.
