Izumik wedding cake by see-through-silence Izumik wedding cake by see-through-silence
This is a dummy cake I did for the Bridal show on Thursday, and something that I've been wanting to do for a while. It is a cake based on The wedding dress Izumik designed.

Izumik wedding cake by ~see-through-silence. A wedding cake based directly from a wedding dress design. All the "fabric" is fondant, from the folds to the sash. The roses are also fondant and the "lace" was made from royal icing. ( Suggested by dottiemaggie and Featured by Kitten-of-Woe )

This is so beautiful. How were you able to keep it stable with the narrower bottom. Everytime I try they always fall over and it is so depressing to see all that work ruined.

Styrofoam as a base. You would do the bottom half of the ball in the Styrofoam and the top half of the ball in cake. That way it doesn't collapse on itself.
